Privacy Policy

The short version

The tools on this site run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into a calculator or converter, including dates, amounts, and generated passwords, is sent to us or stored anywhere. That said, this site is supported by advertising, and the advertising technology we use does involve cookies. Those are two separate things, covered below.

Data from using the tools

QuickToolBelt has no user accounts and no backend database. Every tool's calculations happen client-side, on your own device. We do not receive, log, or store any input you provide to a tool.

Cookies and advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to show advertising. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. This is separate from and unrelated to how the tools themselves work. It's standard practice for ad-supported websites, governed by Google's own privacy policies.

If you are visiting from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you'll see a consent message (via Google's Privacy & Messaging) before we show personalized advertising or set analytics cookies, in line with applicable consent requirements. Both are blocked by default until you respond, using Google's Consent Mode. You can adjust your ad personalization settings at any time through Google's Ad Settings.

Once advertising is active on this site, cookies you may encounter generally fall into these categories:

SourcePurposeDuration
Google AdSense / ad tech partnersAd personalization, frequency capping, measuring ad performanceVaries by provider, see Google's own policies for specifics
Google Analytics (GA4)Aggregate site usage, such as which tools are visited and how oftenVaries by cookie, see Google's own policies for specifics

We don't set any cookies of our own. Every cookie you might encounter here comes from Google or its advertising partners, governed by their policies, not ours.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you certain rights over your personal information. Here's how they apply to this site:

To exercise any of these rights or ask a question, use the Contact page.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate usage, like which tools are visited and how often, so we know where to focus improvements. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you visit. This is separate from the advertising cookies described above and isn't used to personalize ads.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies from google-analytics.com and googletagmanager.comin your browser settings.

Children's privacy

QuickToolBelt is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
